| you are getting started and not an experienced photographer.. look in to the higher in point and shoots. like the sony's r1,h7,h9, ect. or any makers higher end digis. something has some decent lens built in and take nice shots and that has a white balance. than you can decide after you get practice with that if you really want and need a DSLR. that's been my issue for a while. i have a sony V3 i picked up Zcon 05 in New York and it has done great to teach me to look at different setting and just getting comfortable and confident in general with taking pics, but, the last year or so, im needing more lens. so im looking at the Sony alpha 200 and a nikon D80 this is a great site also to just get lost in looking up info and reviews [ http://www.dpreview.com/ ]
